Bible for Children App

We are very close to launching our new BFC App on the Apple and Google stores.  The final modifications are being made to the App. We will announce the launch on our website, so please check there soon.

Please pray for a great response. We expect many more Bible stories will be read through the App.

ePub Bible Stories

All of our Bible stories are in a fileformat known as Adobe PDF. It is an excellent format and works almost everywhere. However, there is another format that was made a standard by all the major book publishers. It is called the ePub format. Many devices, such as Amazon Kindle, use this format.

A major organization is converting all kinds of information from English into many languages worldwide. They are also converting some of our Bible stories, which has inspired us to consider this format.

We believe it may be time to create all of our Bible stories in the ePub format. This would be a major undertaking, and we hope volunteers would help with this challenge. Please pray for clear direction for us from the Lord.

2016 Report

The final numbers are in for 2016.  There were 3.6 million downloads of Bible stories, bringing our aggregate total to about 34 million.  The Asian languages are slowly being discovered on the Web.  There are now over a dozen Asian languages in the top 40.

Philippines: This week there are 13 children in the shelter. The social worker who takes care of them said they will conduct this month another street clearing. I do not know how many there will be after this month's street clearing. Gemma

Count on my prayers. That God continue to bless you and using you everywhere!! The material I've gotten to date helped us a lot in evangelism in our town. We will soon request most materials to take the word of God to our children. Claudia

Tanzania: The number of children in our church differs depending on the seasons. During special occasion such as Christmas and Easter the number of children goes up to 175. This is the maximum number of the children in the church. In the normal Sunday school session the minimum number of children recorded is 65. As we are approaching holidays we expect many children as well. Therefore, I request 175 copies of Bible story books in Swahili language. Ester

Heart to Heart

Mary-Anne and I will have some time soon to talk and pray over the future with Bible for Children. I have been very busy doing my best to finish well at my present ministry, and am looking forward to this time with my wife. I would greatly appreciate prayer for clear guidance from the Lord that our future ministry may be according to His will.

Time is short. May we all joyfully obey God’s command to redeem the time.

Prayer & Praise

Please pray with us for all the contacts that were made at MissionFest. Our goal of reaching 1000 languages is driven solely by the desire that more and more of the world’s children will come to know Jesus through the Bible Stories. For this, we are dependent on God providing translators.

As you read the letters from around the world (we print only a sample few) pray for all who are using our website materials to reach children for Jesus. Some write from countries where Gospel ministry is disapproved, in some cases even illegal and punishable. Pray for our fellow believers ministering in such lands.

Praise God for the potential of the new App that may reach millions of the world’s children. Pray that God will send a deluge of revival blessing to His people and extend the Gospel to many millions more.

And pray for the realignment of Greg’s ministry efforts as he concludes his 30 years of ministry at Union Gospel Mission and seeks God’s direction in expanding BFC outreach.
