| | | Since the very birth of Bible for Children as a ministry to the children of the world, God has supported and sustained the outreach through the prayers, encouragement and faithful support of a core group that first consisted mainly of older believers. This core group has since grown to become more diverse – but the founding supporters, now almost twenty years older, have been unwavering in encouraging BFC towards the goal of providing the Bible stories in 450 languages. Currently, the number of languages offered (342) makes the stories available to an estimated 80% of the world’s almost two billion children. This is due to the vision and faithfulness of our dear supporters.
Sadly, we are noting the passing of some who started out with us. We cannot grieve their present joy in the presence of the Lord; indeed, we can rejoice with them in the affirmation that must be part of the “well done, good and faithful servant.” But, without naming individuals, we want to sincerely acknowledge each of them with loving respect and immeasurable gratitude to God for their steadfastness. In the words of the apostle Paul “we thank God upon every remembrance of them.” | | | | Bible Story Ebook Presentation
| For the past couple of years we have had Bible story ebooks in 240 languages on Amazon, Apple, Google, Barnes & Noble and Kobo online book-stores. Now we have added another 80 languages to bring our total on Google to 320 languages worldwide. The ebooks have been very popular in countries of Asia (see chart below). Now over half a million free ebooks have been delivered. Since there are 6 Bible stories in each ebook, over 3 million Bible stories have been delivered to children in all these languages. An interesting note: Most of the English ebooks have been delivered to countries such as India, Japan, Philip-pines, South Africa and Turkey.
Please think of these numbers in terms of children being reached for Jesus. You may use this information as part of your daily prayer content.

Dominican Republic: [Translated from Spanish] God bless you. I would like to know if you have bibles to illustrate (color) that you could donate, to send to a pastor friend of a church in Venezuela, who has more than 50 children. I currently live in the Dominican Republic and could pay for shipments to Venezuela, you know the situation that Venezuelans live and that pastor works with children and young people. Hello, I would like to use your material in French on my Instagram for people to practice the French language. It's possible? Thank you very much. | | Heart to Heart | Our God is full of surprises! My wife and I decided to attend a petting farm so we could spend time with some of our grandchildren. The owners of this farm are Christians, and they became aware of our Bible story booklets that I hand out everywhere. They asked if we could supply some for the hundreds of children that visit their petting farm.
I looked around and saw families from many kinds of cultural backgrounds. And I suspected that many of these dear families had not heard of God’s love and salvation through Jesus. See-ing the great need, we were able to supply as many Bible story booklets as were needed, freely and glad-heartedly.
Please pray that many children (and parents) will come to know Jesus as their Savior through the Bible stories at the petting farm. Greg | | | | BIBLE FOR CHILDREN, INC. PO BOX 3, WINNIPEG, MB R3C 2G1, CANADA PrayerLink is sent bi-monthly to all prayer supporters. Editor: E.D. Hughes.
